“Shucked” will embark on a North American tour in the fall of 2024, one that will see the charmingly corny Broadway musical make stops in the likes of Nashville, Chicago, and Los Angeles.
The tour will begin performances at the Providence Performing Arts Center in Rhode Island before playing in over 30 cities in its first season. Currently, the show is scheduled to also hit Atlanta, Austin, Buffalo, Charlotte, Dallas, Durham, East Lansing, Fort Lauderdale, Greenville, Houston, Los Angeles, Madison, Orlando, San Antonio, Schenectady, St. Louis, Washington D.C. and Tampa. More venues will be announced at a later date.
“’Shucked’ is a musical full of laughs, great tunes and a whole lot of corn.” said Mike Bosner, one of the show’s lead producers. “It was written from the heart and for the heartland. We could not be more excited to bring what audiences have been enjoying on Broadway to all our favorite cities across the country.”

“Shucked” follows Maizy and Beau, sweethearts living in Cob County, who are forced to postpone their wedding when the corn that provides the economic lifeblood of their rural town begins to die. That sends Maizy on a quest to find help from an expert in Tampa (things do not go as planned). Critics liked the show, with Variety praising “its exuberance, heart and non-stop yucks” and declaring it the “surprise delight of the season.”
The show features choreography by Sarah O’Gleby, and music supervision, music direction, orchestrations, and arrangements by Jason Howland. The design team for “Shucked” includes Scott Pask (scenic design), Tilly Grimes (costume design), Japhy Weideman (lighting design), John Shivers (sound design), Mia Neal (wig design), and Stephen Kopel, C12 Casting (casting director).
Jason Owen serves as lead producer alongside Bosner. Other producers include AEG Presents/Jay Marciano/Gary Gersh, Jeffrey A. Sine, Richard Smith, Silvia Schmid, Bob Boyett, Jeremiah J. Harris, James L. Nederlander, EST/Emily Tisch, Sony Music Entertainment, DudaAllen, David W. Busch, Karen Fairchild, Horipro Inc., Gordon-Helfner, John Gore Organization, Madison Wells Live, S&Co., Terry Schnuck, Jimi Westbrook and ZKM Media.
Even as it eyes a nation-wide tour, “Shucked” continues to play on Broadway at the Nederlander Theatre.
