Kendall Jenner served up understated beauty as she took to the Met Gala red carpet at the weekend and we love the simplicity. In the midst of the dramatic haircuts (Florence Pugh buzzed all her strands off), the prosthetics (Doja Cat came dressed as Karl Lagerfeld's cat Choupette) and the XXL nail embellishment (Rita Ora rocked nail necklaces dripping from each finger), we can always count on Kendall to keep it classic.
That's not to say we're not here for a cray-cray beauty look (give us all the drama), but when it comes to looks we can replicate easily into our own beauty wardrobes, we love some wearable glam inspo (like Kendall's previous 2021 appearance at the Met, below).
Kendall has made fresh skin, bare lids, fluttery lashes and a nude lip her signature, choosing the look as her go-to beauty uniform across a range of red carpet looks. And, although she tweaked her formula by adding some faux bleached-out brows to spice things up at last year's Met (below), she's back to (very pretty) basics this year.
Explaining the brief for her Met Gala 2023 look, Kendall's makeup artist, Mary Phillips took to her Instagram to explain: “we were inspired by '70s mod makeup with an emphasis on the eyes: bold lashes to compliment the upper and lower lash lines with a classic winged liner.”
And luckily for us, she broke down the exact products she used. Though we suspect Kendall's lashes have some falsies action or extensions going on, Mary revealed she finished them off with the L'Oreal Paris Telescopic Lift Mascara, which costs just £12.99.
