Officers Remain In Beanhill After Body Found

Thames Valley Police say they're still at the scene of the discovery of a body at a property in Beanhill yesterday (Saturday 16th May.)

Thames Valley Police attended a property in Neapland in Beanhill, Milton Keynes, at around 3pm yesterday (16/5) following intelligence received men wanted in connection with a burglary were at the property.

Police attended and arrested two people; a 55 year-old man from Milton Keynes, on suspicion of possessing a firearm, and a 22-year-old man from Milton Keynes, on suspicion of burglary and theft.

The 55 year-old man is currently in custody and the 22 year-old man has been bailed until 5 June.

Whilst in attendance at the property, at around 6pm, police discovered the body of a man, aged in his 40s, in the house.
His death is being treated as unexplained but is not thought to be suspicious at this time and his next of kin has been told.

The arrests made earlier in the afternoon were not made in connection with the man's death.

The incident has been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) as a matter of course, due to the presence of police at the property at the time the man’s body was discovered.

Officers remain at the scene today conducting enquiries and providing reassurance to local residents.
